Sunscreens

A sunscreen is a product that is applied to the skin to prevent the UVR from striking the skin with its full force.  Sunscreens are made up of substances that either absorb or reflect the UVR before it reaches the epidermis.  Substances that absorb UVR provide a chemical barrier and those that scatter or reflect UVR from the skin are called physical blockers.
