‘Black lights’

Black lights are specialized lights that emit predominantly UVA and are used for non-destructive testing with fluorescent powders, insect control, authentication of banknotes and documents, for special effects in advertising, and in the entertainment industry.  Black lights do not pose a significant risk of exposure except in certain cases of exposure by photosensitized skin, or exposure of the eyes at close range.
